Working with us
Open Doors began as a purely voluntary organisation, setting out to serve those who were excluded from fully participating in the local community because of language barriers. Although the school has grown and moved on since then, we still retain our core values and our volunteers remain central to our ethos. We recognise that people may wish to volunteer for many different reasons and we value the time and skills that our volunteers offer.

Our voluntary opportunities include:
- Classroom assistants
- Helping in job club
- Creche support*
- Helping with ‘Social Events’
- Offering 1-1 mentoring / befriending / cultural support

The application process will consist of two interviews.
- For the first interview you may be asked to deliver an observed lesson or part of an observed lesson or bring a lesson plan and materials that you have used with a group of learners.
- Following the initial interview you may be shortlisted for an interview with the CEO.
