What will I do in classes?

You will study English reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar, alongside British values and culture.

You will take part in activities that will help you to use English in every day life. For example, writing letters and practicing conversations. You can also practice maths and IT skills. You can work towards exams throughout the year.

The exams you do will depend on your English ability. Go to our grading page for more information.

Do I need to be at a certain level to join a class?

Classes start at pre-entry, for complete beginners, and go up to level 2 (C1). Visit our grading page for more information about English levels.

You do not need to know your English level before starting classes. We will do an English test with you to make sure you are placed in the right class.  If your level is higher than a C1 we will talk to you about your options.

When are the classes?

You can start English classes at any time during the academic year, which is from September to July.
