Prepare for your IELTS (Academic) exam online.
Our IELTS online preparation course allows you to familiarise with the IELTS testing system and explains what happens on the exam day. The course gives you a thorough overview of all the skills tested at the exam, as well as providing practical tips on how to do the exam tasks. You will practice all the parts of the exam and will receive support throughout the course. You will be given advice from an experienced IELTS tutor on how to proceed in your further preparation for the exam. The course finishes with an internal mock exam, which will be assessed and marked by our IELTS tutor, providing detailed feedback.

You must be a minimum age of 18 years old to join our IELTS preparation classes.
You must be at English Level 1, before preparing for an IELTS exam.

You must complete the online assessment which will help us see an approximate level of your English for the best learning experience. This is free. For Initial Assessment, please, follow this link.
Please, check that your Internet connection is stable before starting the test, as you may not be able to complete the test if the connection breaks up. Make sure you have 90 minutes to complete the whole test before you begin as you cannot restart or pause the test. You can only take the test once.
On passing the test, you will be asked to give your details ( e.g. email address), so that the Certificate can be sent to you.
Please, make sure you have submitted the certificate to your IELTS course instructor before the Initial interview.

The 5-week course will start in September 2026 and will run on weekdays, subject to students availability.
Our IELTS Course will be run with a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8 students.
You can access our online courses from the comfort of your home, from anywhere around the world.
Classes will be held via Zoom and Teams. Links and details will be sent near the start date.
Our IELTS exam preparation course is £395.00. Payment is required before the course begins.
Please note that the IELTS exam itself will have an additional cost and can be held at Odils or you can find your nearest IELTS exam centre online.
Odils is an accredited British Council and Cambridge IELTS Testing Centre.
What is IELTS?
IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is an internationally recognised exam that helps universities and employers understand the English level of international candidates.
IELTS exams test your English language skills in four areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The exams have no pass or fail mark. Instead, you are scored on a numerical scale that assesses your English language capability.
Some jobs or courses will have a requirement that you need to meet. Most universities ask for a score of 6 or 7. For more information visit the IELTS website and our grading page.
Why should I study for an IELTS exam?
You need to take an IELTS exam before you go to university in the UK. You also need IELTS to work in specific employment sectors. It is also necessary if you are moving to the UK to work for a statutory body, in jobs such as medicine or nursing.
Our IELTS exam preparation course gives you the best chances of success when taking the exam. It helps you understand the exam format and practice the kind of questions you will need to answer on the day.
What will I learn on the IELTS exam preparation course?
Our preparation course will equip you for taking the IELTS exam. You will start with an initial assessment to identify your current level, strengths and weaknesses. You will then have ten 3 hour sessions covering every aspect of the IELTS exam.
You will do practice tests; with continued help, advice and guidance for your own self-study and progression. You will be given homework on a weekly basis and get feedback from your teacher.
